Peedie Craft Company was created in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. It was by chance that my husband, Keith, asked if I would like a microwave kiln as a present. As I have always enjoyed art and trying out different forms of art, I jumped at the chance. After a few weeks of playing with glass fusing I made the decision to buy a kiln, which would give me more control over my glass fusing. My portfolio has a range of fused glass items which will suit any person or any occasion. For the tourists I have a range of pictures, keyrings and jewellery featuring puffins, standing stones and hares. I have also made some items for the home such as tea light holders and clocks.
I have always found great inspiration from the neolithic history and beauty of Orkney, from my paintings to my glass work, everything has a connection.
