Here we are again, midsummer in Orkney with long days and virtually no night! What Shetland folk refer to as the ‘simmer dim’.
And it is around this time that we turn our thoughts to our big annual showcase event.
All the hard work over two days to set up and arrange our major exhibition is all worth it when we see the Town Hall in Kirkwall bedecked with amazing hand-crafted items from more than 50 individual designer-makers.
Every year from the end of June right through July a huge variety of craft work is available in the beautiful Kirkwall town centre location with its stunning stained glass window.
Every year we have new members joining in and pleasant surprises from our members’ new designs and items.
Do come along and visit us in the Town Hall, Kirkwall Community Centre, Broad Street, Kirkwall. (Opposite St Magnus’ Cathedral) Although the hall is on the first floor a lift is available making access possible for everyone.
Mondays to Saturdays inclusive. (Closed Sundays)
9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
22 nd June to 30 th July 2016.
